The Finance Department directs all finance functions for the City of La Center. This includes annual budgeting, financial reporting, investment activities, general accounting, purchasing, payroll, accounts receivable, taxes/fees, financial planning and preparation of various documents for the state and other professional organizations. The Finance Department also handles customer services, information services and business licenses.
Office of the City Clerk manages activities as prescribed by state law including responsibility for official city records, public information disclosure, records/contact management and City Council liaison.
