"Before joining the Council, I had been attending Council meetings for years as an interested citizen. I enjoyed watching the local government process, so when an opening came up on the Council, I was eager to jump on board. I'm interested in increasing children's activities including the skate park, the expansion toward the I-5 junction and the revitalization of downtown. I've lived in La Center for 13 years and want to be a positive part of the community."

The five-member City Council is the legislative body and sets policies for the City of La Center by ordinance, resolution and motions decided by a majority vote. Council terms are four years in length.
