The five-member City Council is the legislative body and sets policies for the City of La Center by ordinance, resolution and motions decided by a majority vote. Council terms are four years in length.

"My intent as a member of the city council is to open the lines of communication between the citizens and city council so we can better serve the community and the needs of the people. I am aware of the challenges facing La Center in the near future and realize that the decisions we make will affect our community for years to come.
